Minted ingots are one of those types and boast more intricate design elements. These bars actually start out as cast bars that have specific forms stamped out of a long mold that are then refined with detailed designs on both sides of the bar. These cast silver bars have a rectangular shape with straight edges and flat surfaces. All inscriptions on these cast silver bars are struck incuse into the surface of the bar, rather than engraving the designs in 3D relief onto the surface as minted ingots would feature. Arranged vertically down the obverse face of the bar, these markings include the mint logo at the top. In the center of the design field, the weight, metal content, and purity are struck.
