2020-W 1 oz Burnished American Palladium Eagle Coin

  • Description
The American Palladium Eagle stands out in the American Eagle Series from the United States Mint as one of the most unique coins with the lowest mintages in the series. Issued for the first time in 2017, the American Palladium Eagle made its mark in the series by offering different versions of the coin with each release. American Palladium Eagles have been struck in just four years in all the versions of the coin that the other metallic American Eagles have offered over the course of more than four decades. It took years for the gold and silver coins to offer unique versions such as reverse proof or burnished coins. Through its first four releases, the American Palladium Eagle has offered, in order, Brilliant Uncirculated, Proof, Reverse Proof, and Burnished versions. All of the 2020 1 oz Burnished American Palladium Eagle Coins available in this product listing come with beautiful presentation packaging. The coin itself is encapsulated and housed in a grey leatherette presentation case. The case has the heraldic eagle seal on its lid and each coin comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from the mint. On the obverse side of the 2020 1 oz Burnished American Palladium Eagle Coin is a depiction of Winged Liberty. Designed by Adolph A. Weinman in 1916, this image featured on the Mercury Dime from 1916 to 1945 and depicts Liberty in left-profile relief with the winged Phrygian cap on her head. The design so closely resembled visions of the Roman messenger god Mercury that the design and original coin became known as the Mercury Dime instead of the Winged Liberty Dime.
